Alison Parry

Alison Parry sadly passed away on 4 March 2009, leaving a young son Louis. This is an extract from a reading given at her funeral by her friend Louise.

Alison had more love and laughter packed into her 41 years than most people experience in a lifetime. When she was a baby, her mum and dad, May and Ray nursed her through whooping cough and their love and care continued all through her life.

Her parents were Alison’s guiding light and she loved them dearly. Along with Michael, Cerys and Sammy, family meant everything to Alison. She had fond memories of her family camping and caravanning holidays in Harlech. Here Alison loved to play the fool with her siblings, having great fun rollng down the sand hills and then diving head first at the bottom. Alison loved the water and spent many a happy hour in Harlech baths or surfing in St Ives, but above all loved being with her family.

Alison was a fun, caring aunt who loved all her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Family was everything and she always spoke lovingly and with pride when talking of her brother Michael and his wife Jill, sister Cerys and husband Stephen, sister Sammy and husband John along with her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Her greatest joy however was her son Louis who was born on 5 April 1997. She was so very proud of him and would enjoy nothing more than sitting with him whilst he did his homework, encouraging her bright sunshine boy all the way. She supported him in all his sporting activities, be it football, cricket or swimming. Her love and guidance will be with him forever and she will always be at his side.

Alison remained brave and positive throughout her short illness and will always be in our thoughts and in our hearts.
