Get ready for the second full moon lunar eclipse of the year in the arduous and ambitious zodiac sign of Capricorn on Sunday 5th July. This month’s full moon is also rather sweetly known as the ‘Buck Moon’ to mark the time of year when the deer begin to grow their beautiful velvety antlers.

Capricorn is ruled by the 10th house of career and public persona and the planet Saturn, the taskmaster of the zodiac who demands authority, discipline and social order. Therefore, it is easy to see why this sign is synonymous with career and business.

Capricorns possess an impressive work ethic which combined with their stamina and staying power makes them quite the force to be reckoned with. Indeed, it is not surprising that you will find many of these natives leading the way in their respective fields, from Kate Moss to David Bowie, Muhammed Ali (aptly named, ‘The Greatest’), and Elvis Presley (‘The King’). They are also natural born leaders, see former first lady, Michelle Obama and minister and civil rights activist, Martin Luther King Jnr.

This lunar eclipse is the final in the Cancer / Capricorn series which began back in 2018, so this full moon will be a final chapter of sorts, especially where issues surrounding our sense of comfort and security are concerned. Cancer rules the home and our emotional security, whereas Capricorn represents stability in the material world.

This month’s Capricorn full moon is the perfect time to realign yourself with any long-term goals or commitments that may have fallen to the wayside and a good opportunity to examine how and where you invest your time and energy and whether this is manifesting the results you desire in your life.

Issues relating to money, career and the illusive work-life balance may also arise now. Life in lockdown has forced many of us to revaluate our priorities and reconsider the concept of security and where we feel most nurtured and protected.

Stay Safe and enjoy the Capricorn Full Buck Moon.
