It's been quite a journey! In April 2019, I was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer. It was a bumpy road with numerous operations and I was in the clear for over a year until a CT scan in September 2020 found more cancer in my lung. This cancer was swiftly removed along with half of my right lung and, to our surprise, the cancer was found to NOT be melanoma. Instead, it was a rare type of pulmonary sarcoma. Since October 2020 I have been cancer-free and am working hard to ensure I keep it that way, including testing my lungs by running...

I love a challenge so am proud and excited to be running The London Marathon on October 2nd 2022 for Melanoma UK (I was originally down to run in April 2020, before Covid interrupted). It's a huge pleasure to be raising money for such a worthwhile charity. Any donations would be so gratefully received and will go towards their life-changing work supporting patients, families and medical professionals. Thank you.
