In Memory

PROFESSOR MARTIN GORE

18 Feb 1951 - 11 Jan 2019

Professor Martin Gore, who died suddenly after a routine yellow fever jab aged 67, was Medical Director of the Royal Marsden Hospital and Professor of Cancer Medicine at the Institute of Cancer Research.

An oncologist at the Royal Marsden for more than 35 years, along with ovarian and renal cancer, he was known internationally for his work on melanoma.

Melanoma UK has supported Professor James Larkin, a medical advisor to Melanoma UK for the PEACE study taking place at the Royal Marsden. Professor Gore was Professor Larkins' mentor and given his unwavering support for the melanoma patient community, we have now launched an appeal in his memory.
