Chris Bryant, Labour member of Parliament for the Rhondda was diagnosed with melanoma in 2019.  He spoke to the press about his diagnosis and in doing so, brought some much needed awareness to melanoma and the issues faced by patients.  Chris arranged a meeting for Melanoma UK to speak with Matt Hancock where the issue of VAT on sunscreen, access to treatments and a ban on sunbeds was discussed.

During the summer of 2019 Chris has been very vocal around disease awareness working with Melanoma UK and a number of other melanoma charities in the UK.

Chris joins Melanoma UK as a Patron and we are delighted to have him on board.
