Full Moon in Taurus - Happy Halloween!

Today (October 31st, 2020) we will be blessed with a spectacular full moon in the sign of earthy, sensual Taurus. The Old Farmer’s Almanac calls this the ‘The Hunter Moon’, however, this year it is known as a 'Blue Moon’ due to the rarity of this lunation (this is the second full moon of October). In fact, we haven’t seen a Full Moon on Halloween like this one since 1944, so this is a super rare phenomenon. What a treat!

Taurus is ruled by the 2nd house of finances, material possessions, and anything tangible which is why Taureans love anything that appeals to the senses. Ruled by the planet Venus, they are a glutton for that which brings pleasure, including art, music, food, and love (see natives Sofia Coppola and Gigi Hadid and Cher). They adore their home comforts, so this is the perfect time to celebrate Halloween indoors and indulge in a little home-grown self-indulgence. Candlelit baths, chocolates, and cuddling on the sofa are all Taurean approved pastimes.

Astrologically, the full moon will conjunct Uranus, the rebel planet of revolution and unpredictability and as full moons are a time for things to ‘come to light’, expect the unexpected this Halloween! Hopefully, whatever is revealed will be a treat and not a trick, but have your wits about you as full moons can be an emotional time and a full blue moon on Halloween is no exception!

Taureans and those with strong Taurus placements have been working with Uranus’ energy for much of this year which has caused unpredictability and revelations galore – very much at odds with the reliable and steadfast energy of Taurus, however under Uranus’ influence, Taureans are undergoing a major period of personal revolution, so go with the flow, Taurus, you’re changing, and like you, it’s beautiful.

At Halloween, it is believed that the veils between the realms are at their thinnest, so pay attention to signs and messages from the other side in the form of your intuition and dreams if you are that way inclined. Halloween also marks the halfway mark between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice, so this is a wonderful time for a spiritual harvest. Taurus is the ultimate builder and manifestor, so examine where you place value in your life and how can you manifest more of this in preparation for the winter months ahead.

Enjoy this rarest of full moons and however you observe it, have a very Happy Halloween.

With Moon Blessings, Melissa
