As a novice runner taking on The London Marathon is going to be a huge personal challenge for me, but to be able to use the opportunity to raise funds in support of Melanoma UK brings me a great deal of motivation and pride.
I know from personal experience what a devastating disease Melanoma can be having lost my Mum to it back in 1983. Melanoma UK give much needed help and support to those diagnosed with the illness along with their friends and family during difficult times. They also help to raise awareness of this type of Cancer which is now the 5th most common cancer in the UK.
I am not expecting to run the Marathon in an amazing time, but knowing I have your support will definitely spur me on to the finish line. Any donation you can afford to give will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
