I am running an ultra marathon from Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in Norwich to The Churchill Cancer Hospital in Oxford. This is in memory of my Auntie, Margaret Simpson, who died in April 2022 following a fight against mucosal melanoma. All money raised by this run will go to Melanoma UK who continue to support those affected by this type of cancer. At the time of diagnosis in 2015, the local hospital could only offer palliative care. At the time, I was working in Oxford, and managed to find the professionals to give Margaret a fighting chance that she grabbed with both hands! With their expertise and care, she had an extra 7 years with her family, who are eternally grateful. This mammoth run will start at the NNUH on Friday 18th August, 2 days after Margaret would have celebrated her 75th birthday. Please support this cause in any way you can. Ruth Williams
