I was someone who used to use sunbeds when I was younger to look and feel good in my skin, I also had a lot of moles, that was something I got used to being part of me.

In 2019 at the age of 38 I spotted a new mole that grew quickly and was not the normal for me.  I could feel the lump around the mole and noticed how smooth it looked and how it was hairless compared to my other moles that have a hair growing from them.

On June 10th 2019, I was told the news that I have melanoma in situ and that I would need surgery WLE to remove the cancer.  I had to have the surgery twice as the first time not all the cancer had been removed. I also had keloid scaring and also infections in my arm where the cancer was.

I have had to learn to love my self after going through so much with melanoma and 2 years on I have noticed I have a swollen lymph node in my neck and waiting to have that checked out with a CT and biopsy or an ultrasound and biopsy.

I am now 41 and it scares me the future but trying to stay positive.
