MEET OUR NEW AMBASSADOR - ROSS ROBINSON

We are delighted to welcome Ross Robinson as our newest Ambassador specialising in podiatry and post operative wound care.

Ross graduated in Podiatry from the Glasgow Caledonian University and has had several roles within the Podiatry world.

He has over 15 years’ clinical experience within Wound Care in the NHS, nationally and internationally.

Ross’ key areas of interest are the vascular assessment, Diabetic Foot Ulceration and wound care - specifically skin cancer and melanoma post operative wounds.

Ross was service lead in two London NHS Trust and believes in empowering the next generation of Podiatrist by being a strong role model and expanding current borders of practise.

He has a great passion for sustainability within the world of wound care and is embarking in research in this field.

Currently, Ross is the Clinical Specialist covering the UK & EMEA for PolyNovo therapy areas including burns, trauma, complex wounds and skin cancer & melanoma post operative wounds.

Melanoma UK is delighted to have Ross join the Melanoma UK team, he has a fantastic sense of humour and we cannot wait to put him under the spotlight in our next On The Spot medical webinar.

CHMP RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF OPDIVO (NIVOLUMAB)

Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has recommended approval of Opdivo (nivolumab) as a monotherapy for the adjuvant treatment of adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older with completely resected stage IIB or IIC melanoma.

OVERVIEW OF MELANOMA

Melanoma is a type of cancer that starts in cells in the skin called melanocytes. These cells make a pigment called melanin which gives skin its natural colour.
